Mantra Mamas

Mantra Mamas is the creation of Kiranjot Kaur, a northern Californian musician, artist, and teacher. It is the culmination of the three most powerful eras in her life: writing and performing in the indie feminist music group Copper Wimmin, completing a five year study in classical Indian music in the Sikh capital of Amritsar, India and becoming a mother to her son. The course is designed to provide a meditative outlet where women and mothers can learn to sing sacred mantras while also being inclusive to their children. Each woman can walk away with the benefits of meditation, mantra singing, and connection to a group of supportive and creative peers.

Children are invited to participate in the chanting and or play alongside the adults, toys and art supplies provided. Children get to absorb the music and positive energy... And even play a few keys on the harmonium at the end of class. Toddlers and babies are welcome. This class is also a good fit for older children who love singing and helping with younger children.

First class $20 which can be added to the 6 classes for $99 class schedule: NOV 14, ( no class Nov 21 & 28), Dec 5, 12, 19, Jan 9, 16

Mantra Medicine to Awaken the Divine Self

Prepare your body to come back into its natural state of resonance with Kundalini Yoga and use your uniquely designed instrument (body) to chant the Divine name, which is your name, to remember who you are, and to send love to every cell separate from none and connected to ALL.

Kiranjot Kaur has been doing Kundalini Yoga since she was 14 years old, has had a daily practice for over 20 years and has been a teacher since 2005. She is a Vocalist, founding member of CopperWimmin, Kundalini Yoga teacher, Indian Classical music instructor and a devotee of the Divine Mother. Copper Wimmin were featured on NPR program Democracy Now and their song Bleeding Rivers was featured on the Showtime television series The L Word. In 2006 Kiranjot spent five years living and studying Indian Classical music under the guidance of her beloved teacher Dr. Ustad Narindar Singh in Amritsar, India. Since then she has spent the last 11 years practicing Indian music as well weaving in her original songs, mantras, and affirmation chants and honing her understanding of what it means to be created as a Divine Instrument. From her travels through India to Chile and back she discovered that her favorite thing in this world is using her voice as a call for healing, self-love and the practice of ONENESS.
